Drawing in the Studio
Wednesday, February 7, 2018 | 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Cost: $7 per person and $5 for members | Ages: Adults
Charlie Russell’s cabin was a source of his inspiration for many years. Drawing from a vast collection of objects that he kept in his studio, he completed the majority of his works of art there from the time it was built until he passed away in 1926. In this unique opportunity, drawing studio participants will draw from live models wearing Western-themed clothing to create their own drawings of the figure in Charlie Russell’s studio.
Space is limited and advanced registration is required for this program. To register, go online at cmrussell.org, or call Melissa Werber, Education Coordinator, at (406) 727-8787, ext. 347.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own drawing materials (suggested dry materials such as charcoal and pencil). The museum will provide French easels, drawing boards, and select drawing supplies. Meet at Charlie’s cabin door on 4th Avenue North.
