As Great Falls and the C.M. Russell Museum marks 100 years since the passing of Charlie Russell, we are bringing artists and the community together to celebrate the legacy he left behind.

As part of the October 9–10, 2026 legacy celebration, the C.M. Russell Museum will host Charlie Russell’s Legacy Exhibition and Sale, featuring approximately 75 works by invited artists. Participation is limited to Russell Skull Society members, C.M. Russell Art Award winners, and artists who have generously volunteered for Art in Action. This is not a juried exhibition.

Artwork Size

• 2D works: Maximum 256 square inches, not including the frame
• 3D works: Maximum 10 inches in any dimension

Exhibition & Sale

Approximately 75 works will be exhibited at the C.M. Russell Museum and offered through an online timed auction. Artwork will be exhibited at the museum as soon as it is received and will remain on display through the close of the auction on October 10, during the C.M. Russell Museum’s legacy celebration.
