Charlie Russell Legacy Exhibition and Sale

Celebrating 100 years of Charlie Russell’s enduring influence

One hundred years after the passing of Charlie Russell, his influence continues to shape Western art, inspire artists, and connect generations of collectors and art lovers.

As part of Charlie Russell’s Legacy: Celebrating 100 Years on October 10, 2026, the C.M. Russell Museum will bring together approximately 70 original works by invited contemporary Western artists for the Charlie Russell’s Legacy Exhibition and Sale.

The exhibition celebrates artists who carry Russell’s spirit and influence forward. Participating artists include members of the Russell Skull Society, C.M. Russell Artist Award winners, and artists who have generously volunteered their time and talent for Art in Action.

At the same time, every work will be offered through an online timed auction, giving collectors near and far the opportunity to take home an original work created in honor of Charlie Russell’s legacy.
