In addition to the C.M. Russell Museum, Great Falls is home to ten other museums and cultural institutions, which we invite you to visit.
Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center
Re-live the expedition’s travels across uncharted lands and meet the Indian Tribes whose lands they crossed. View feature
films and exhibits or enjoy an interpretive program with a ranger. Shop and take a bit
of history home.
Art is for everyone at The Square! Explore contemporary art by local, regional, and international artists. Attend art classes and workshops for all ages and ability levels. Visit collections of “outsider art” and stroll our beautiful grounds.
The History Museum features exhibits celebrating Central Montana’s Heritage. Our archives are the region’s official records repository, and we are the premier research center in our area. There is also a Gift Shop and Book Store on site.
The Children’s Museum exists to ignite a passion for lifelong learning. Grab the whole family and stop in to learn through play in our 20,000 square-foot facility. The museum is full of hands-on fun for children ages 6 months through 99 years old.
One of the most significant buffalo jumps in North America, it was used before the arrival of the horse to the Northern Plains. The Park boasts a Visitor Center and over 3 miles of hiking trails with archeological and natural points of interest.
View artifacts and images from its establishment in 1942 as a bomber training base and learn about the numerous aerial missions it hosted leading up to the present mission of controlling the world’s largest Minuteman ICBM missile field.
The museum features objects and artifacts illustrating the history of Montana railroad systems. It meets every Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. The public is welcome!
The Galerie’s collection showcases the art of Sister Mary Trinitas Morin, a multimedia artist and master craftsman. As a campus art professor for nearly 33 years, Trinitas left a rich legacy of art. Today, her work can be admired at the University of Providence.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Ursuline features a chapel, auditorium, gymnasium, archives, museum, and several exhibit rooms. The Centre also operates preschool and childcare programs and a retreat and conference center.
The Library has over 135,000 items available for the community to borrow, plus eBooks to download from our LIBBY APP. Programs include Storytime, summer reading programs, book clubs, bookmobile outreach, community events, and more.
