50 Years Fifty Favorites from the C.M. Russell Museum

On the eve of its 50th anniversary, this book was published to showcase 50 representative works in the permanent collection most requested by visitors at the C.M. Russell Museum.

The roots of the collection can be traced back to Emma Josephine Trigg whose initial gift of 153 Russell paintings, models, sketches, illustrated letters and other works of art to the Trigg-C.M. Russell Foundation, were given in memory of her beloved parents and in honor of Chrles M. Russell, her close friend and neighbor. She bequeathed the collection in 1951 with the stipulation that it be displayed for the enjoyment and education of the community and nation.
