Description

Late in 1920, Charles M. Russell created a pair of plaster bookends, each with a slightly different bas-relief self-portrait. One bookend shows Russell in right profile without his hat; the other in left profile wearing his trademark hat. The bookends were made for Russell’s friend Bud Cowan, author of several western novels, some of which Russell illustrated.

These are limited edition bronzes and each one has it’s own unique characters coming out of the molds.
