Each state insert is included and has an adhesive tape on the back to make it easy to apply. Simply peel off the backing and insert into the slot when you have visited each state. They come in a canvas pouch for storage. If you prefer not to permanently place the states you can leave off the tape and they will fit snugly into the outlines.
