Russell Museum such as Saddles & Spurs, Holiday Open House, and American Indian Heritage Day, or who attend workshops, after-school art classes, lectures, plays, and musical performances.Your contribution supports bus transportation for fth-grade school tours, artists-in-residence, outreach programs for high school students, interactive kiosks, and Discovery Gallery upgrades. Funds raised also sustain the Anne Morand Memorial Scholarship Fund, which enablesan outstanding high school student to earn a bachelor’s degree in a museum-related eld from an accredited institution of higher education. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Educational Appeal go directly to educational and cultural programming at the museum, with no overhead deducted.Several opportunities existto donate to the Educational Appeal (not just at e Russell Exhibition and Sale). Call 406-727-8787 or visit www.cmrussell.org for more information.In December 2015, the museum put together an exhibition of student artwork that was hosted by the Great Falls Public Library. e art show exhibited the work of fth-grade students who participated in the C.M. Russell Museum Essay Contest in the spring of 2015 and also the work of high school students who participated in the High School Outreach/Visiting Artist Program in October of 2015. One of the high school students took her project home and worked diligently to make it the best she could. She drove herself to the museum and presented it in person and explained that she had never exhibited her work before and that she was excited to have the opportunity. When the exhibition opened, her project stood out from the others for its beauty and craftsmanship.
