All pieces to be sold at the First Strike Auction and The Russell Live Auction will be on display at the museum as a temporary exhibit to give collectors and art lovers an up-close look. Free for museum members.

Art in Action™, Meadow Lark Country Club, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
An exciting variation of a traditional “quick draw,” this event gives nationally known artists several hours to finish a piece of art while interacting with guests. The event culminates in a live auction of the completed works of art, with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to the museum by the participating artists. Check back for tickets and prices.
First Strike Auction, Mansfield Convention Center, 6 p.m.
First Strike Friday Night focuses solely on works by contemporary artists. Experienced collectors and burgeoning bidders alike will have the opportunity to compete in a casual, lively atmosphere full of music, food, and fun. Check back for tickets and prices. Presented by Fay Ranches, Inc.

Charles M. Russell: The Women in His Life and Art An Exclusive Preview of the Summer 2018 Exhibition
The Russell Runway Show – Wearable Art of the American West, Meadow Lark Country Club 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m.
The Russell Runway Show at the Meadow Lark Country Club showcases renowned fashion designers including couture contributions by Montana Dreamwear, Meredith Lockhart, and Lindsey Thornberg. The show will also include an auction of vests and shawls hand painted by artists of The Russell including Tom Gilleon, Colt Idol, Carol Hagan, and many more. Join us to learn current fashion trends while raising funds for the C.M. Russell Museum’s educational programming, such as Russell for Learning. Lunch and champagne cocktails included.

For the experienced collector of Western art, The Russell Live Auction features contemporary art plus significant historical works in a competitive bidding atmosphere.
