RoBeRt MARtinez
Robert Martinez was born on the Wind River Reservation in Riverton, Wyoming. He attended Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, and in three years, he graduated, becoming the youngest Native American to graduate at that time. His Northern Arapaho heritage remains a constant inspiration and source of ideas for
his work. Martinez's work is in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian National Museum for the American Indian in Washington, D.C., the Plains Indian Museum at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, and the Red Cloud Heritage Museum.

Caleb Meyer was born and raised in Hailey, Idaho. He grew up with an appreciation for art and the outdoors. From a young age, he loved drawing and painting as well as music. His passion for oil painting was sparked during a painting class at Boise State University, where Meyer received an art teaching degree in 2006. He taught high school art for three years, but he was able to begin painting full time in 2012. He now lives with his wife and three children in Missoula, Montana.

John R. PhelPS
John R. Phelps is a native of Wyoming who resides in Cody. Working as a ranch cowboy and big game hunting guide
for many years has given him firsthand knowledge of his Western subject matter. Phelps has been accepted into the C.M. Russell auction off and on since 1983. He has just completed a bronze monument for the United States Marine Corps, having already installed one on Camp Lejeune and one on Camp Pendleton.

Mark McKenna is still young, but he is emerging onto the animal and wildlife art scene to great acclaim. His work, which leans
in the direction of portraiture
of the animal, both captures the personality and energy of his subject and captivates his audience with his strong sense of light and energetic brushwork and palette knife work. Each piece has a strong textural and lifelike quality, creating a unique aesthetic experience.

Ashdúuptàako Ishtaxíialúuchish (Steals The Guns From Two Enemy Camps) Ben Pease was born in Missoula, Montana, the youngest of three siblings. He grew up on the Crow Indian Reservation in the town of Lodge Grass, Montana, and graduated from Hardin High School. Pease subsequently attended Minot State University on a football scholarship and was awarded the Harvey & Arlone Twyman Scholarship (Art). Since then, his work has gained international acclaim and national awards and has been featured in scores of magazines and books.

BRuce d. PieRce
Growing up in Great Falls, Montana, Bruce Pierce fell under the spell of Charlie Russell at a very young age. As far back as he can remember, he enjoyed drawing pictures, and at the age of eight, he began oil painting. In 1998, Pierce began painting full time, realizing a lifelong dream. In 2005, he moved into the new log studio
that he and his dad had built. Each year, he looks forward to coming back to Great Falls to participate in The Russell and the Out West Art Show, of which he has been a member since the show began.
