While over the Christmas holidays my wife and daughters traditionally go to the movie theater. They were particularly excited this year when one of their favorites was coming out in a new version.
I was inspired to paint this painting while listening to their conversations of who’s personality best fit who’s in the movie Little Women. I have always wanted to depict this time in our American his-
tory and I hope you enjoy Under the Umbrella.
