Russell Museum honors fth-grade students who participate in an annual essay contest answering the question, “Why is Charlie Russell Important?” e winners were announced at the 48th Annual Proclamation Ceremony held on February 27, 2017, at the C.M. Russell Museum. Individual grand-prize winners receive a framed print of an artwork by Charles M. Russell. e classrooms of the grand-prize winners receive art supplies and the opportunity to create a Painted Story Quilt with a member of the museum’s education sta .
