10 a.m.–3 p.m.
Come to the C.M. Russell Museum to experience good old fashioned family fun at Saddles and Spurs. This event celebrates the life of the Montana cowboy as Charlie Russell saw it when the land was wide open. It was the freedom of the old west that inspired Russell to be an artist. To introduce families to the cowboy life we will have roping demonstrations, displays of cowboy gear, horseshoe tossing, and an ice cream social with root-beer floats. Kids can also enjoy a variety of simple craft projects that reflect back to life on the prairie. Join us on the museum grounds for this free public event. For access to the museum galleries and special traveling exhibition Romance Maker: The Watercolors of Charles M. Russell, regular admission applies.
