Study the basic skills utilized when sketching from life. Students will work in graphite and ink to learn about light values and shadowing as well as positive and negative space.
When time permits, we will explore the museum collections and in particular the special traveling exhibition Romance Maker: The Watercolors of Charles M. Russell for ideas and inspiration. Classes provide students with an opportunity to explore various art techniques ranging from drawing and painting to printmaking and sculpting. Class size is limited to 12 students. All the supplies for each class are included in the cost. A snack will be provided for classes lasting longer than 2 hours. Scholarships are available on a limited basis.
