The staff of the C.M. Russell Museum and Montana Painters Alliance invite their members to attend the opening reception of Historic Ranches of Montana, the fourth biennial exhibition and sale of works by members of the Montana Painters Alliance (MPA), May 17–September 3, 2012. This year’s exhibition features both plein-air and studio paintings of the remarkable ranches established during the heyday of Montana ranching in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Sites include the legendary Lazy E-L, Grant-Kohrs, Gordon, and Caroline Lockhart ranches. Enjoy appetizers, wine, and creating works in oil, pastel, and watercolor with members of the MPA in an artist’s paint-along. This is an evening not to be missed!
