June 8, 2012: Summer Kids Classes Abound!

We all know summer art programs are being slashed across the country. But supporters came out in droves at this year's The Russell: The Sale to Benefit the C.M. Russell Museum! The crowd sprang to action when asked to support educational programming and events at the museum. Thanks to matching donations and contributions from the Windmill Foundation and BNSF, the night was already off to a great start.

But then the bidding started. And let's just say there were more than a few tears in the crowd! At the end of the bidding, more than $160,000 had been raised for educational programming and events. This tremendous showing of support allows the museum to offer the most complete calendar of summer kids programming ever!

There is something for everyone, from painting to drawing and printmaking to sculpting—the kids won't be bored this summer!

Scholarships are available on a limited basis. Space is limited and advance registration is required. For information or to register, contact Kim Kapalka, Education and Program Coordinator at (406) 727-8787, extension 347 or kkapalka@cmrussell.org. For refunds, cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance of each class.
